 Pete Seeger recently sat down in his home on a Hudson Valley hilltop for
an interview with Andrew Blechman of Orion Magazine (and with Dot Earth
there to tape the proceedings). Here's the main question Blechman
asked: "We 're trying to ask people to come up with some thing, a noun,
that we'll need for the next 30 years in order to survive on the planet
and to flourish and to live with some form of grace."

Pete's
answer? The word "stabilization," a couple of relevant tunes, and an
optimistic view of the Internet as an unparalleled tool for sharing and
shaping ideas.
