Elliot Rodger Went On A Killing Spree In Order To 'Punish' Women For Not Being Attracted To Him

Elliot Rodger, A 22-year-old student at Santa Barbara City College killed six people and wounded 13
near the University of California, Santa Barbara campus in May. Among
the 19 wounded or injured, four were sorority members. A video Rodger
uploaded to YouTube detailed his motivations behind the killing spree.
In the video, Rodger said he was "still a virgin" and "had never kissed a
girl," asserting his intention to "punish" women for this "injustice."
"You girls have never been attracted to me. I don't know why you girls
aren't attracted to me, but I will punish you all for it," he said in
the video.

The tragedy inspired the #YesAllWomen and #NotAllMen hashtags that commented on everyday sexism and violence.
