US-Senate TTIP Letter to Froman from 22 April 2016
Bitter tasting news: In a letter to US Trade Representative Froman, 26 Memebers of the US Senate insist that #TTIP
has to break down regulatory barriers in the food industry and
agriculture. More precisely, the signatories demand to lower European
standards for "hormone use in US beef, maximum residue limits in fruits
and vegetables and dairy certification requirements". If the final
agreement does not include these claims, it "could have a negative
impact on Congressional support for this deal". #StopTTIP
