What in the world is the US doing setting up a 3,000 strong military
force -- made up primarily of Kurds -- to guard some of Syria's borders?
It can't be about ISIS, which is less
than a shadow of its former self. Could it actually be about trying to
counter Iran and Russia's strength in the region (strength which
ironically developed as a result of US meddling in the first place)?
